The program consists of online learning, in-vehicle teaching, and homework assignments that must be completed on time. Many topics are covered, including road rules, vehicle components, vehicle handling, driver behaviour, perception, risk management, sharing the road with others, and respect and responsibility as a driver.
The material emphasizes road safety and helps students prepare for their road tests online. Built around the MTO Driver’s Handbook, strategic driving skills are taught through several approaches, including video presentations and online discussions.
In the vehicle, a competent and highly trained driving instructor accompanies you in the passenger seat. They provide guidance and reinforce the rules of the road so that you may become a confident and safer driver. Your driving lessons are tailored to your needs, and you are encouraged to ask questions freely.
