  • For public safety professionals

  • Changing technologies and perceptions

As car technology advances rapidly and traffic density levels continue to rise, we must be adaptable and acknowledge that we share the road with others. Because the driving environment is constantly changing, depending on where we are, the time of day, and other external factors, our driver personalities directly influence how we receive information. This course helps you identify your on-the-road personality and how to manage it to maximize your safety and that of others.

  • Improved driving skills

The CADD Defensive Driving Course for Public Safety Professionals is offered to Toronto, Scarborough, Markham, Stouffville and Greater Toronto drivers. Lessons are geared towards increasing vision, depth perception, and communication skills to reduce the risk of collision. Particular driving situations are covered, including how to drive through intersections, freeway driving, the safe operation of non-emergency vehicles on duty, and using distracting equipment such as radios or handwritten directions.
