By practicing and honing your driving skills, prepare for your G2 road test in Toronto, Scarborough, North York, Markham, Richmond Hill, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, and Stouffville. The Canadian Academy of Defensive Driving provides five mini-driving courses tailored for G1 License holders, novice drivers, and international drivers. Each class includes a vehicle rental on the day of your road test.

Instead of BDE

Our mini-courses might be perfect if you have your G1 License and want to prepare for your G2 road test without taking the comprehensive Beginner Driver Education (BDE) program. Our G2 short defensive driving courses are designed for Toronto, Scarborough, North York, Markham, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Richmond Hill, and Stouffville drivers. It’s important to note that, unlike the BDE program, these courses do not reduce your one-year waiting period for the G2 road test to eight months or qualify you for an insurance reduction.

What the mini courses focus on

Each G2 mini-course includes instruction on driving rules and regulations in the Province of Ontario, opportunities to observe other drivers, and training on vehicle control tactics, braking, space management, parking, and defensive driving techniques. The focus of each course varies, preparing drivers for residential, city, or both.
