SENIOR DEFENSIVE DRIVING

    The Canadian Academy of Defensive Driving has decades of experience in road safety. We have pooled together the specialized knowledge of our team members to create the Senior Defensive Driving Course in Toronto. This course is designed to help those transitioning into the later years of their lives maintain their independence by keeping their driver's licenses. Our goal is to provide proper training so that older adults in Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Markham, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Richmond Hill, and Stouffville can keep their licenses well into their senior years.

  • Learn how to stay safe and defensive behind the wheel.

    This course is packed with our experts' innovative ideas, techniques, and practices. In a supportive and respectful learning environment, we demonstrate and teach you how to stay safe behind the wheel, minimize driving stress, maintain your confidence, and adjust your driving habits as necessary. As a senior citizen on the road, you can expect in-depth training focusing on your vision, hearing, and motor skills. Our highly-certified Senior Defensive Driving Course Instructors provide one-on-one, in-car practice and lessons to help you understand your body and mind and use it to your advantage for optimal safety.

After finishing our Senior Defensive Driving Course in Toronto,

  • Course Structure

    This is a two-part course:
    - 2 hours of online training
    - 2 hours of in-vehicle instruction

    If students need more in-vehicle instruction, they can ask their designated instructor for additional lessons (not included in the course price).

  • Course Duration

    This four-hour course consists of two hours of theory and two hours of practical, in-vehicle training. Additional in-vehicle lessons are available for purchase if needed.

Beginners Driver Education (BDE) Course

All students enrolled in the Beginners Driver Education (BDE) Course must complete it within one year

Driver's License Requirement Policy

All students must possess and present their valid driver’s licenses during any of our courses
